Queen Marie-Adélina was born in San Diego, California, in the United States. Her father, Mark Anthony (later, Seigneur de Saint-Guillaume-de-Rochester) was an orphan at a young age. Her mother, Dominique the Queen Mother, was born in today’s Democratic Republic of Congo. The Queen’s maternal grandfather, Austin the King Grandfather, was the great-grandson of Pierre Nord Alexis, King of the Navasse and President of Haïti (1902-1908), who was the grandson of Henry Christophe, King of Haïti (1810-1820), through his natural daughter Princess Blézine Georges Christophe. She assumed the throne of the Navasse on 13 September 2017. A proud trans woman, Her Majesty began her transitioning journey that same year.

Per the Constitution, The Queen is Head & Ruler of the Principality and holds office for life. She is first and foremost the embodiment of The Crown and speaks on behalf of the United Kingdom, Royal Family, Court and Government, and is the living embodiment of the family’s culture and history. The Queen takes part in informal, ceremonial, and official visits and engagements. She has a significant role in the consultative process, and receives sound advice on policy and proposals through the Crown Council. She must give assent and sign every decree before it becomes valid.

During her formative years, Marie-Adélina developed a passion for art, history and culture. She would later receive a Master’s in World History and a Master’s Certificate in Public & Arts Administration from SUNY Brockport.
